Hacking on geminid

I'm contemplating the idea of moving my official website, merge in the
content of this gopherhole, and move everything on a personal VPS where
I can serve all my things with https+gopher+gemini.

For this reason I started to look around for gemini servers to run,
and I decided to improve geminid[1].

Why?  Mostly irrational reasons:

* I like C, and it is written in C

* I could have used gmid[2], which seems to be more mature, but I'd
like the idea of giving some contribution to a smaller project, since
biodiversity is nice in software as in real life :)

* Because I can.

I spoke with the jovoro, who agreed upon using an email-based git
workflow.  Still I've set up a new repository on the tildegit[3], as it
is nice to track/backup my own progresses somewhere.
