After we recently moved house, I find myself in a quite large and empty house,
together with quite a number of boxes.
The thing is, when you're all set in your home, with all your stuff distributed
around, you don't really have a clue of *how much* that is. When you've start
opening the boxes, with the goal of finding a new place for everything ...well,
you *still* don't have a clue on how much stuff you've got, but it gets to be
worse, somehow.
I feel the urge of getting rid of everything at once. I can't really do that
for two reasons:
1. This is not just my stuff, but also my family's. I can't just throw away
someone else's belongings.
2. Some of it would just appear again. Case in point: knick knacks and other
decorative objects, are making the house more cozy, and throwing them out
makes little sense: more objects will take their place.
If anything, i think I can dispose of some books: we have plenty of them, and
some are pure garbage that will never be read again. Some of them will never
be read in the first place.
