Finally, another decent day!

Not an easy one, or a relaxing one, but I'm quite happy about my new
task at $dayjob.  Like it or not, having a good day at work means a
lot on my general mood.  That's why I strive to optimize my happyness
at work.

Unfortunately it is not easy to do so.  I even ended up losing my temper
a few times, lately.  Not that I'm particularly proud of it.  The fact
is I'm starting to be worn off by the various sources of stress that
hit me simultanously, on different fronts.

I'm in no position for complaining, with people out there that has it far
worse than I.  With that being said, this job is not easy, and acquiring
the new skills requires a lot of effort.  I spent several weeks not
being able to get solid results, as I already mentioned many times.

On the top of it, also no big news, it is increasingly hard to have to
do with our child, who is almost 2 years old.  He's learning a lot, and
gives us both a lot of satisfaction, but it is also in a stage where -
we have been told - it is normal to rebel and test our patience.

In this situation, it is not easy to carry on my little projects, so I'm
considering to pause a few things, and focusing instead on activities
that require less energy, such as reading or improving my Taiji.

There was a time, a few years ago, in which I used to read quite a lot.
Back then I used to commute by train, from home to work and back, and that was
a perfect time for a good read.

About good reads, I found that my Good Reads account is still alive!
I should probably update it with the (not so many, but still positive
amount of) books that I've been reading since the last time.  Or maybe
I should dump everything here, on my gopherhole, instead? :)

By the way, a few days ago I started to read "Pride and Prejudice".
