How about BACKBONE.NG (for newsgroups, of course <g>)
and BACKBONE.LS (for listservs)

It would be easier to differentiate NGs and LSs that way. My system can
handle most of that but I don't have an Internet connection to it (and am
unlikely to get one absent a winning lottery ticket, thus far the only drawback
to living out here in the sticks).
