Hello Stas!

SM> Meanwhile, the colder your drive is, the longer it will live. I try not
SM> to warm my drives over 35C.

True. Yes, integrated-circuits are best kept in cooler temps.
Meanwhile, my HDD seems to settle at 32C for most of the time.

AA>> Index verification completed.
AA>> Errors found.  CHKDSK cannot continue in read-only mode.

SM> It only says that these files are currently open. This is normal. Try
SM> HDDscan. https://hddscan.com/download.html

Thx for the tip.

Meanwhile, CHKDSK C: /F /V /R did its magic successfully.

But I did a Cleanup and Defrag before that.

Now the T60 seems noticeably faster too.  The defrag was
probably the most salient issue.  I don't recall the last time
I even bothered to check defrag of the smaller C: partition.

The H: partition had no CHKDSK errors at all.
