Yes. Disabling the SSID would leave WiFi on but hidden unless you know the
router name. I would forget the SSID and just switch WiFi off altogether!
Connect a hardline, if not already, to router and surf to it (usually
http://192.168.1.1), enter ID & PW (mine 1st time was admin, no PW) then find
the Wireless section and just turn it off. :) Remember to save changes and I
always backup the router config to my HD.
