What is going on with Microsoft Windows Update lately??
In the last 2 days, Windows Update has repeatedly bugged me with a 30
KB Quality Service Rollup for Windows 7. If I choose the Install Update,
I get the message that the update was successfully installed...but
moments later, the Windows Update icon is BACK in the taskbar.
And, in the Control Bar (where you choose to shut down or restart), I
keep seeing the Windows Update Shield in "Shut Down". I click on that,
the system shuts down, supposedly installs the update, and powers off.
Well, I power it back on, and after everything comes back up, the
Windows Update Icon is BACK in the taskbar, and the shield is BACK in
the Control Bar.
It is the same thing each time, and I'm wondering what is going on.
Despite Microsoft's desires, I am NOT upgrading my OS...I'm content
with Windows 7 32-bit.
