Ah, I just gave it a quick eyeball from a Google search.  It was
familiar-looking.  :)  Besides the 'look & feel' I recall looking it over many
moons ago, and discounted using it.

Yes.   The 'old faithful' of the *nix world.  I did use it for a couple of
years but in a GUI environment it cannot interact with other tools.  It's like
getting stuck in a DOS app and... well, you're stuck.
