When I read: "fixing this at the source" I thought about the person sitting
on the chair with the keyboard in his lap, typing this Reply.
My wife has tried that for over 50 Years and still hasn't got that fixed.
I suppose Windows XP has the "Synaptics mouse driver" - Wait I'll Look...
Occasionaly during the Year I go to a CMD Prompt and type DIR C: /-p then
when it finished listing all on the C: HDD I type DIR C: /-p >> to send
the listing to a .TXT File to look at later whenever I desire to do so.
I opened the latest .TXT File and used SYNAP to Find any Filenames that
had those characters and saw:
a Ask Woody article in December 2017 about a 'HP SYNAPTIC Keylogger",
a UBUNTU option
and a Wikipedia Article
with those characters in the Filename.
I could use Agent Ransack to see if those characters show up in inside any
File but that takes a long time for it to complete so I won't.
If there is a a Driver on this XP pc with those characters in the File
Agent Ransack will find it, I'm sure.
Istead
I'll just finish this message and boot it out towards the Capita City Online
BBS.
