I don't think you're going to find a lot of success with that approach (on Windows). SEXYZ is one of the only socket I/O based X/Y/ZMODEM file transfer drivers for Windows. Your other options are (all or just msotly) going to be 16-bit programst that either require a FOSSIL driver (so they would work with Synchronet, so long as you already have 16-bit programs working) or direct COM/UART I/O (which could possibly also work with Synchronet for Windows). In any case, I wouldn't expect those other programs to fail in exactly the same way.

Most likely, the issue you're encountering is a bug in SEXYZ. The question is: is it an old/already-fixed bug, new or current bug? Until I understand exactly what revision of sexyz.exe v3.0 you're using, I can't guess.

Assuming, you are actually running the latest and greatest sexyz.exe (master/24933c806) and the problem is still occurring, the next step would be to enable debug level log output in your exec/sexyz.ini file and then run a Windows debug output capture utility (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/debugview) and send the "SEXPOTS:" lines that were logged shorter before the program crashed.

If I can reproduce it myself, I can fix it easily. So far, I have not been able to. Short of being able to reproduce it myself, I will need more details from you in order try to root-cause and resolve it.
