They just want money like everybody else. I'm a little worried about Hochul's empty offer to give racial reparations for slavery; how can Elise compete with that?
There are people who now, thanks to Hochul, are dreaming of a mansion and a yacht, and voting against Hochul means shattering the dream. If I was a descendant of slaves, it would be hard for me to vote against the (false) prospect of having millions handed to me.
