I think they used that strategy here; there was a referendum on "Do you want the state to sell some state land to a company that wants to build a ski resort?"
That's awfully sneaky of them. They act like we have a choice in the matter. Most voters probably see no evil in it, and now they're going to proceed with it because they got 51.6 yes votes on it. Had they not got the votes they needed, they would have just did it anyway.
