I wasn't thinking of ms-windows at all, :)

C++ is avalable for pretty much any computer more powerfull than a C64,

TP is limited to PC and macintosh

I've not used C++ builder or delphi, so I can't really compare the GUI
stuff,  but as you say the TP and C++ languages have about equal "expressive
power"
