was probably the best tool for programming on those systems.

Someone correct me, but doesn't Mystic BBS still allow you to program things in
Pascal? Or did they finally move to Python?
But the ghosts of these old languages still exist in the modern ones. Pascal
wouldn't have existed without Algol. Java borrows heavily from Pascal. And
how many languages have riffed off Java?
