ahhhhhhh ok then TheDraw is NOT in animation mode, if you select any of the
effects listed eg Door then it will convert the currently loaded ansi into an
animated ansi, if you then ALT-J the Normal prompt will show up.

I have the lord menu util here, will have a look at the 3rdalt file format and
see if I can point you in the right direction.
