A fossil is a big help, and if multinode, probably manditory.

Vmodem is only an modem emulator and I believe you can't run Vmodem
without SIO. SIO is the fossil. If you have the sio lines in
config.sys stating which ports are "INTERNET" then you are running
a fossil.

IN =  TCPIP signal -> Vmodem -> SIO -> BBS
OUT = BBS -> SIO -> Vmodem -> TCPIP signal

DSZ should work as long as the pass params are correct and you
have the proper dsz environ vars set.

DSZ works quite well here in telnet, tho I've only set it up with
Zmodem.
