One company I used to work for had an NT based network. I worked the night
shift
and often weekends and it was not unusual for me to notice a BSOD on one or
more
of the servers - on a LAN that had been idle for hours if not days with no
traffic other
than whatever housekeeping tasks that M$ and Cisco do. Apparently M$ did fix
the
problem - instead of sitting on a BSOD until a human intervenes to restart the
system,
on its more recent releases M$ now automatically initiates a reboot sequence.
