Well, this is for VMODEM.  Here's my settings:

A. Modem description    Node 2
B. Communication port   COM2
C. Port information     IRQ 2, Base I/O address 2F8
D. Maximum BPS rate     57600 bps
E. Locked BPS rate      Locked at 57600 bps
F. Init command         "~~~~~~ATZ"
G. Answer command       "ATA"
H. Hangup command       "~~~ATH0"
I. Offhook command      "ATM0H1"

J. Flow control type    XON/XOFF (sw)
K. Re-init timing       255 mins
L. Command delay        0.5 secs
M. Answer delay         0.5 secs
N. DTR drop delay       0.5 secs
O. Hangup w/DTR toggle   No
P. Fossil in OS shell    Active
R. Answer after ring     1
S. Ring counter reset    N/A

Maybe this would clear it up a bit. :)
