It'll be a few months atleast before Im in any position to develop IP
capable fido software (no internet connection here yet so I'd just be
testing on a lan...)

nah noded using existing software still need all the info they needed
yesterday and if they don't know how to get it from a DNS they'll need
to get it from the nodelist... after a while most nodes will probably
upgrade their software... but when?
