It could make sense if it could be used by IP only nodes to find an IP ==> PSTN
Gateway to reach the target PSTN node. This takes the "conversion" point closer
to the target system, rather than just assuming it will be handled by a
"Default Fidonet Master Gateway" somewhere. One thing I havbe always liked
about Fidonet is the ability for Node to Node communciatins whenever it is
physically possible. Splitting ourselves between PSTN and IP will start to
break that ability, however if we can keep the option available wherever
possible, then it would help to convince people the changes are not as great as
they might think.
