Yeah it does indeed.

yeah it mahkes sense to me now...

PSTN nodes would still need the weekly nodediff, as would those Iinternat
capable nodes using existing software.

could PSTN nodes could have DNS entries without having IP addresses
(I expect malcolm knows the answer to this), that could help.

nodelist generation for thr use of PSTN nodes still appears to be a problem
though.

Yeah, but if they do are not nodelisted that are not part of fidonet.

PK>> If you must (and my prefernce is to have no such entry at all),

it seems that doesn't catually need anything added to the nodelist.
fidonet.org domain names can be built from the nodes fidonet address.

JB>> We can't add anything to the SLF nodelist it's full already.

PK> No its not, it had 37,000 entries in it at its peak,

longer is possible, wider causes problems (reportedly).

PK>  All an ION node entry needs is A PVT listing,

unless it's a host(etc)... - yucky can of worms that one.

PK> Remote copy of what? If they are PSTN, then all the info they need

Yes, thanks, I see that now.
