I haven't read anything by PKD in its entirety yet, but
Vulcan's Hammer sounds interesting.  Apparently it was
announced in 2021 that a screenplay was in the works for a
film.

In my research for similar themes of Vulcan's Hammer, I've come
across these that explore similar ideas of technology,
artificial intelligence, and dystopian futures:

1. **"Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" by Philip K. Dick**
- This novel, which inspired the movie "Blade Runner," explores
the nature of humanity and artificial intelligence in a future
where androids are nearly indistinguishable from humans.

2. **"Neuromancer" by William Gibson** - A seminal work in the
cyberpunk genre, this novel delves into the world of artificial
intelligence, cyberspace, and a high-tech dystopian future.

3. **"1984" by George Orwell** - A classic dystopian novel that
examines the consequences of totalitarianism, surveillance, and
the loss of individual freedoms.

4. **"The Circle" by Dave Eggers** - A contemporary novel that
examines the implications of a society dominated by a powerful
tech company and the erosion of privacy and personal freedoms.

5. **"Snow Crash" by Neal Stephenson** - This cyberpunk novel
combines elements of virtual reality, computer hacking, and
corporate control in a fast-paced, futuristic world.

6. **"The Machine Stops" by E.M. Forster** - A novella that
imagines a future where humanity lives underground and relies
entirely on a vast machine network for all needs, exploring
themes of dependence on technology and human isolation.

7. **"I, Robot" by Isaac Asimov** - A collection of
interconnected short stories that explore the ethical and moral
implications of artificial intelligence and robotics through
Asimov's famous Three Laws of Robotics.

8. **"The Moon is a Harsh Mistress" by Robert A. Heinlein** -
This novel explores themes of artificial intelligence,
revolution, and the fight for freedom in a lunar colony.

9. **"Player Piano" by Kurt Vonnegut** - Set in a future
society where machines have replaced human labor, this novel
examines the dehumanizing effects of technology and automation.

These books offer a variety of perspectives on the relationship
between humans and technology, the potential consequences of
artificial intelligence, and the nature of dystopian societies.
