Subj : Help compiling on a Mac

I'm trying to get MBSE to compile on a mac (using the unix shell) and I can
get the CONFIGURE to run... now when I try to do the make I am getting this
error... Sourceforge shows it will work with mac as I see the icon there but
see little help on how to make it work.

This is my first time in the foray of compiling anything would appreciate
help.


Compiler is GCC : ............. yes

 Installation directories :

   Main directory    : ........... /opt/mbse
   Owner and group   : ........... mbse.bbs

 Now type 'make' and as root 'make install'

ORION:mbsebbs-1.0.6 AllenPrunty$ make

MBSE_ROOT is not set!

make: *** [all] Error 3
