Does anyone know if the file-handling functions added to LORD's LADY script in
v4.07 are simply broken or is the documentation wrong/unclear?

I'm able to get @openfile to work as documented. If I use it to create a new
file, I'm even able to write to it using @writeln. However, both @appendfile
and @rewritefile throw the error "Invalid file variable" if used as documented.

Anybody able to help with this one? It looks like it's just broken to me, but
maybe I'm just misunderstanding something or the documentation is wrong.
