   I don't use INN v2.x; I use v1.7, which does not use that program.
If/when I have time, I may set up a test system using the later versions
of INN;  Debian also has v2.4.3 of INN available, but I don't usually
use that because it's more complex than I really need...

   Are the echos & their associated newsgroups listed in the file
/etc/fidogate/areas?   Are their newsgroups listed in /var/lib/news/active?
Are the newsgroups listed properly in the fidogate entry in
/etc/news/newsfeeds ?
