Hey Benny!

Interesting. Personally I'm still doing things like this without any networking, ssh or otherwise.

As we speak the biggest issue is the kernel version and as of today I'm returning to using 5.10 kernels for the two stable systems.
<Esc>:read /proc/version
Linux version 5.10.68 (root@heatsink) (gcc (GCC) 11.2.0, GNU ld (GNU Binutils) 2.37) #1 SMP Sat Sep 25 05:57:04 UTC 2021
As you can see both gcc and binutils are the same versions as used on the "Linux version 5.14.8" was. Beats me if a glibc-2.34 based system would have fared any better. Maybe I'll try it soon but not today.

Heathen bastard!!! You're starting to sound like a Debian developer. :::evil grin:::
BP> if it cant be shared with gopher its not worth of shareing :=)

Now you're sort of talking my language. I was never into gopher but maybe that could change?
BP> any news of the termux ?
Not since getting binkd working. For the record I used clang to port it which I am not too proud to admit here. As far as I am concerned termux is the only decent app for Android based so-called smart devices. A gcc port would have been best.
BP> unless debian fucked apt-get :)
Heh, heh. So far I haven't had any issues with it but I hardly ever use it. I'll send a msg from there later just to remind myself what still needs to be done. I definetly have the basics working.
BP> good plan, more coffee for me now
I am just getting started after having my caffine booster shot.
Life is good,
Maurice
