My previous post should have made that clear, but ... you're slow, so...
At this time, it's a "the sky is falling" issue, promoted by people who
wear skinny jeans and no socks, who continually wring their hands in
angst, and try to impress upon the "masses" just how intense this issue
is.
In reality, IPv4 *continues* to work just fine, and will for a long time
to come. In a couple of generations there may be a need for a
"changeover", but there is no emergency pending. It reminds me of the
frenzy over the Y2K "issue", which turned out to be largely.... hype.
I've got better things to do than worry about how my grandchildren may
need to configure their routers one day.
