     Title: Lavender Lemon Bars
Categories: Citrus, Nuts, Cookies
     Yield: 24 servings

   3/4 c  Butter; softened
   1/2 c  Confectioners' sugar
     2 c  A-P flour
   1/2 c  Ground almonds
     2 ts Dried lavender flowers
     2 ts Grated lemon zest

 1 3/4 c  Sugar
   1/3 c  A-P flour
   1/2 ts Baking soda
     4 lg Eggs
   1/3 c  Lemon juice
          Confectioners' sugar

 Set oven @ 350oF/175oC.

 In a small bowl, cream butter and confectioners' sugar.
 Add the flour, almonds, lavender and lemon zest; beat
 until crumbly. Pat into an ungreased 13x9-in. baking
 dish. Bake for 15 minutes or until edges are golden
 brown.

 Meanwhile, in another small bowl, combine the sugar,
 flour, baking soda, eggs and lemon juice; beat until
 frothy. Pour over hot crust. Return to oven and bake for
 20-25 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool on a
 wire rack. Cut into bars; dust with confectioners'
 sugar. Refrigerate leftovers.
