Has anyone else built the Elecraft KX1 transceiver?

I built one a couple of months ago and am delighted with its performance.
Although running only 2W with its internal 6 x AA alkaline batteries, or 4W
with an external 13.8V battery or supply, QSOs on 7, 10 and 14MHz CW are
made without difficulty.

To be highly recommended to anyone who likes building their own gear rather
than using commercial equipment.
