 It's through a magmount in the shack. It basically is when my TNC keys up for
maybe a second or two at a time to transmit packet. I don't use the amplifier
(to get the 45 watts) when I'm using voice repeaters. But, at times, packet
conditions in this area have been very poor (especially with some nodes down
from power outages from the recent ice storms), that I need the extra power to
get in.
