My apologies for being out of this echo as long as I have. With the hectic
holiday schedule...then 2 ice storms in 2 weeks, with accompanying power
outages, I haven't been able to be online or in here as much as I'd like.

Anyway, I have a question about a problem that has developed. Another ham radio
operator and myself teamed up to buy a never used MFJ 1270C TNC from  an estate
sale (the ham who bought it became a SK a week after the purchase, and never
got to use it)...and gave it to another ham as a Christmas present. We got the
TNC to communicate with her computer, but for some reason, it won't talk to her
rig, a Radio Shack HTX 202 2 meter HT. We ordered a special "ready made" cable
from MFJ, so we wouldn't have to wire one in...but no dice. I'm not sure if
it's the cable from the TNC to the HT, or if the TNC or HT volume needs to be
adjusted. We set the squelch on the HT to where it's at the "breaking point",
but still can't get any response. Any ideas as to what might be wrong??
