Thanks for the above info, Fane.  Actually, I had never paid any attention to
that aspect of the program.  Mostly because I had never run the program on a
computer that was running windows or a sound system.
I'm glad to hear that you like CW.  It has always been a favorite mode of mine.
I was a telegraph operator and train dispatcher for a railroad as well as a
radio teletype and telegraph opr in the military before I ever became a ham.
So, needless to say I can't join the celebration attituded of some because it
is being layed aside.  Lowering requirements to accomodate those who cannot
otherwise obtain licenses, diplomas or other certificates of achievment will
nearly always degrade the standard which they represent and has always been an
area of concern for me.  I feel that standards should always be raised or
maintained; never lowered. At present I too am an extra class opr without an HF
rig, but I should be back on the air shortly.
