Hello Al -

>DP> I would suggest that di-dah-di-di-dah might be a possibility. That
>DP> is the very old separation symbol (used to separate whole numbers
>DP> from factions), but that has long since been superseded by the
>DP> dash (dah-di-di-di-dah).

I should have said "dah-di-di-di-di-dah", of course - sorry for the typo.

That seems to have evolved to be understood as an exclamation mark nowadays,
but officially it is listed as a comma.

You're joking, of course, Al.  I have e-mailed them about it, but all they can
come up with is just sending "at".  I guess it needs a few more people
requesting they do something about it.  Try e-mailing [email protected] with copies
to [email protected] and [email protected]

K1ZZ is secretary of IARU and Secretary of ARRL, and W6ROD is supposed to be
ARRL International Affairs Vice-President.  I suspect their attitude is "don't
rock the boat" as it will give them some work to do!
