You can do that or, if you're operating in a GUI, do what I do is set the
fonr for a terminal window to use the Terminus font which helps me.  I run
the BBS headless and work with it vias my personal box.

That would be difficult as there's a lot of software still in use that still
uses CP437/CP850 in the BBS world.

No, the OS/2 box finally gave up the ghost so early this year, I went back
to running MBSE under Slackware 15.  Does everything I need and is reliable.
The old OS/2 BBS is backed up and in storage and the OS/2 box has been
recycled.  My current BBS is running on a HPE ProLiant ML110 G6 server now
though I am hoping to move it one of these days to this Dell PowerEdge R710
rack server I have here.
