I solved that issue by moving the fido installation into it's own drive letter. You could share c:\bbs to x:\ on the windows server. All config references would move from c:\bbs to x:\ and fido would start at x:\ as working dir.

What about UNC names? Another approach is to target the files directly without use of the mounting mechanism. //server/share/path is a valid adress in the windows file explorer.

This reminds me to the escape chars in some *nix shells. "echo \n" displays "n" instead of "\n". To see "\n" you have to say "echo \\n".

Increase the loglevel and look if golded tells you what it does really use for path names.
