Hi, Tony!

SM>> In our area some oane are also very fond of fried potatoes with fried
SM>> onions and a little meat gravy, but no cheese. It is quite edible.
SM>> This dish has no special name. Not often found in Crimea. It is
SM>> rather typical for Ukrainian cooking.

TL> Oh, OK.  Sounds a bit like what some people might snack on here.

It is not used as a stand-alone dish. Usually a few good meatballs or a couple of chops are added to the plate. This is all eaten with a salad of tomatoes, cucumbers and sweet onions with sour cream or sub-leaf or olive oil. It is unlikely that such a plentiful meal can be called a "snack".

SM>> It's a pity, but yesterday my doctor explained to me in great detail
SM>> why I will never be able to try poutine. :(

TL> Dairy intolerant?  High cholesterol?  Or something worse?

Holichistitis, cholelithiasis, reactive pancreatitis. And I still haven't eaten so many tasty things. ;)

Have nice nights.
