Nope.

I have noticed that when I try to type two dashes in a row,
that is, --, TgM would concatonate them into one long dash
symbol.  Maybe that is what's happening. HOWEVER, I learned
that I could get two separate dashes if I do one backspace and
type the 2nd dash.
