I have big issues with the point systems like HotDogEd and Aftershock. This is
because I like the flexibility to be able to move from device to device. From
what I've read, the Telegram gateway is pretty good at tracking lastread
pointers, making it far more compatible with my style of operation. The only
major downside is lack of offline access, which would be an issue when I'm in
more rural areas. There's a lot of places not far from here where there's no
mobile coverage at all.
