Do you have an option to use the QWKE format? You wouldn't have cut-off
subject lines.

No cell phone for me (yet). But I have a couple of iPods that were
primarily obtained as mp3 players several years ago. The built-in wi-fi
is handy for a few things like a weather report, or to check email status.
I tried a nntp/newsgroup reader on one of them. It was ok to monitor
activity, but reading on a tiny screen was not comfortable. And creating
useful posts was too hard on my thumbs.
