I would just like to point out that while yes, the only two BBSes on
smartphone that I am aware of are running Mystic, it should be possible as
well to do so with other software that will run on a Raspberry Pi. At the
very least, Synchronet and Enigma BBS should work.

Christian, the gentleman who wrote up the documentation, used Mystic for
reasons of his own. I did so because it was used in rhe documentation.
Too many new things for me at the time to attempt compiling as well afyer a
long time since I have done so.  I'm experimenting with otjer devices which
will use other software, but I'm running into issues with port forwarding.
