FWIW, my recent tests with "KOI8-R 2" vs "CP866 2" revealed, that Z2:R50 folks are not ready to read any Cyrillic outside of DOS encoding back in 90th which is CP866.

Well, if you stay within the true ASCII range, which is <127, you can claim any, and I repeat ANY charset aka @CHRS, including utf-8.
