Always as ascerbic as ever, Ward?
From my POV, 'not casting a vote' is not casting a vote. Casting a vote for any
one candidate, but not another, is an abstention of that other. It is
unreasonable to assign abstentions when someone simply isn't taking part, and
these should *not* be counted toward the total number of votes. However,
abstentions, where it is clear that a voter is abstaining, *should* be
counted and should have an impact. Otherwise, what's the point of even
including it as an option?
Now, if you don't mind, I'd like to hear from the person who is actually
running this election, rather than the one who only thinks he is. Good day,
sir.
