Hey Maurice!

MK> @TZUTC: -0025

Bah!  The only way the above could be worse is if it were east of UTC.

MK> @TZ: UTC+00:25:21

Much better.  It works too!

 TZ=UTC+00:25:21 date --date="09 Nov 21  23:51:00" +%s = 1636503381 seconds
 TZ=UTC+08:15:02 date --date="@1636503381" +"%d %b %y  %T" = 09 Nov 21  16:01:19

It is all relative.  Note that this method doesn't lose the nearest second resolution and could easily be extended to milliseconds and beyond if such a thing would ever be needed in text messaging.  Up to the second is easily attainable and worth the effort methinks.

Life is good,
Maurice

... Don't cry for me I have vi.
