Scott Dudley wrote Squish (along with Maximus-CBCS.) He's been out of FidoNet
for a while, but I believe the source code for Squish was included in the
release of the Maximus source code. If so, it's probably possible that
someone might fix it.

I don't consider that likely to happen.

In theory, nodes currently using Squish could switch to something else, such
as HPT or FastEcho. I find it unlikely, however, that too many will.
