Actually it was less the users that killed Fidonet, more those with some degree
of power, methinks. ;)  But personally, I had no issues on Fidonet, and hung
out in some good echos. :)

Discourse, yep.  But I find web forums unvariably feature clumsy navigation and
sluggish performance.
