After seting up the new modem I was not able to setup port forwarding so I had to remove it and setup the old modem again.

I signed up with freedom mobile and the modem they gave me requires a third party app for andriod or IOS, and only works for shaw customers and since I am not a shaw customer it didn't work for me.

Strange experience.
