Nick is completely right. I ran under Windows for 3 decades, starting out at Win 3.11 for Workgroups and moving through all versions. About 4 years ago I played with running a BBS in Ubuntu, and after the learning curve of using Terminal to do the basic things. I never turned back, I now only have 2 WIndows VM's running, 1 to run my Amiga Emulation since I haven't yet been able to get a Amiga Emulator as full featured and up to date as WinUAE (Although this will be changing with WinBoat) and a Win 10 32 bit to run my Door Server, although this too will more than likely change when I finally spend some time learning DosEmu.. Fire up a VM of Mint (closest to Windows in my opinion) and play with it, in my case moving to Debian made me want to use my computers again..
