Not natively anymore.  What I did was run SEXPOTS which will answer a modem
and then connect it to telnet.

I had it running under Windows and now it's running on my Pi:

http://wiki.synchro.net/util:sexpots

There are other ways of doing this, but this was the easiest way I could
think of.
