I still have it working without doing anything more - so some of the issues
are gone (for Pi). I haven't checked Linux/Windows yet but will.

I hadn't noticed .mpy issues, but I don't really use it at present. I did have
to do the usual ./mplc -t to get all the MPLs up to date which is normal.

I'm sure as long as he has the time. When he does get time he will fix
it all up and get everything working before a release. I'm running on older
Pi so _p32 is the version I'm using. I have noticed the new 64 bit version.
