I took the Amateur Extra exam once many years ago when FCC employees came to
town to give the exam.
Back then there was a question about Satellite operation which I had No Idea
about .
Another one was about a UHF circuit that had a Triode tube (maybe a Tetrode?).
I failed the Written portion but had passed the CW part and left the room with
a Temporary Permit for Advanced Class.
Way back then Conditionals, Generals, Advanced and Amateur Extra all had the
same Frequency Privelages.
